Satz, Paul

Paul Satz, Ph.D. (d. 2010) was a neuropsychologist and founder of both the neuropsychology program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)'s Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. Dr. Satz was recognized for his groundbreaking research on brain-behavior relations.

Dr. Satz's seminal contributions include creating the foundation for understanding healthy and pathological asymmetries of brain structure and function; theories of developmental disorders (autism, dyslexia, attention deficit disorders, and schizophrenia); and research on the cognitive and affective consequences of head injuries and HIV/AIDS.
