Serial Multiple Mediation of Organizational Commitment and Job Burnout in the Relationship Between Psychological Capital and Anxiety in Chinese Female Nurses: A Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Survey
The MBI (Chinese translation) and PCQ (Chinese translation) were used to investigate the serial-multiple mediation of job burnout and psychological capital along with measures of organizational commitment and anxiety in 1354 Chinese female nurses in two hospitals in Heilongjiang Province, China. Key findings: (a) psychological capital was associated with decreased burnout and increased organizational commitment; and (b) decrease in job burnout was related to reduction in anxiety symptoms.

Transitioning Towards New Ways of Working: Do Job Demands, Job Resources, Burnout, and Engagement Change?
The MBI and PCQ were used to investigate the effects of transitions to New Ways of Working (NWW) on employees’ burnout - among other consequences - and how those effects are mediated by psychological capital for 126 employees of a large Dutch provider of financial services. Key findings: (a) NWW had no significant effect on burnout; and (b) NWW transition effects were not mediated by psychological capital.

A Study of Resident Duty Hours and Burnout in a Sample of Saudi Residents
The MBI was used to burnout prevalence in association with working hours of 181 residents from three hospitals Saudi Arabia. Key findings: (a) Burnout prevalence was 81%, and (b) there was no association between working hours and burnout prevalence.

Building Well-Being Among University Teachers: the Roles of Psychological Capital and Meaning of Life
The PCQ was used to measure psychological capital in 412 university teachers in China. Key findings: (a) psychological capital predicted meaning in life over time, (b) meaning in life and psychological capital positively predicted well-being over time, and (c) meaning in life partially mediated psychological capital effect on well-being over time.
